It’s a new year so why not introduce a new look? I’ve been wanting some new pillows for my living room for a while now, so when I got a couple gift cards to Amazon I knew what I wanted to look for. I wanted something with character and with a pop of pink and these suzani pillows from Black Fig Designs fit that bill perfectly.
Aren’t they pretty? Suzanis have become quite popular in the design world, appearing in magazines like Elle Décor and House Beautiful. The word suzani refers to the traditional embroidered textiles from Uzbekistan and other central Asian countries, and these textiles can be used in a variety of ways.

There are some beautiful vintage suzani panels for sale on Ebay for really reasonable prices.
If you don’t feel like committing to a large suzani panel, or if you want something a little more modern, there are a ton of accessories and accent furniture pieces out there that keep the same colors and style as authentic suzanis without the actual embroidery work.
