I found my dream house. And by dream, I mean the only way I could ever own it is if I had unlimited money. But if I did, and I chose to stay in Kansas City (I’d have to have a vacation home on the beach somewhere too), this home would be pretty much perfect.
According to the listing, the home has 8 bedrooms, 5 full bathrooms, 3 half baths, a four car garage, and it sits on 2.7 acres. Plus it has a great story and an amazing location:
True Kansas City Landmark steeped in history. Wight & Wight, whose achievements include the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art, designed this magnificent home for the Ward family. Built in 1906 on a 2.7 acre lot with a splendid view of the Loose Park Rose Garden. The grand staircase and stained-glass windows on the mezzanine level captivate all who enter.
Pretty incredible right? Of course I would update the décor a little bit, especially in the bedrooms. Using the same fabric on the duvet cover, draperies, and ever piece of upholstery is so not cool, but it’s an amazing home. Plus it’s located right by the Loose Park Rose Garden which is where my hubby proposed to me
The house also comes with an incredible price. It’s listed at a whopping $2,175,000. And then you have pay taxes on top of that which are currently just under $30,000 a year. That may or may not be more than my entire salary last year.
